And the music played on

Tonight Batsupsidedown and Emok played at the Five Spot. www.thefivespot.com

It was pretty cool. Batsupsidedown rocked and the singer Jay pulled a Kurt Cobain and smashed his guitar. That sure took me back to days long ago...

As Maureen described it Emok is a mix between The Doors and Rage Against the Machine...kinda a weird combo...the singer kept slipping on the stage...so we left a little early.

Deep Thoughts...

How much of what we feel is due to how our thoughts are processed?

I think that sometimes it can be hard to discern want or desire from reality and I think about things too much. So how do I know what feelings are real and which ones are a product of my thoughts? How does anyone know that?

Sometimes the world wakes up...other times it sleeps

I have come across some interesting things in the news today....

The Simpsons discussed gay marriage and Patty, Marge's sister came out of the closet. It is cool that a cartoon can be so widely accepted and discuss social issues. I wish I had seen the episode...I was too busy watching Edward Scissorhands, oh well. I am sure it will be rerun.

Hunter S. Thompson committed suicide...how sad...what a great thing he did for journalism, however. And of course I love that Johnny Depp played him in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Sandra Dee from Gidget also died . That show was fun. I remember watching it while growing up.

And Bonnie Rait's dad died also.

Well, folks...that's three. Death always comes in threes. And for some reason I still look at it as a good number. It could be more, right?

New Start

Today I decided to start a new blog. I really don't know why...it is just one of the mysteries of my world.
